Tesla CEO Elon Musk has fired Omead Afshar, Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations, as the company battles declining global deliveries and internal executive reshuffles.
Afshar, a longtime Musk confidant, played a central role in operations across North America and Europe. His departure follows a projected 10% year-over-year drop in Q2 deliveries, along with persistent sales declines in China and Europe.
Previously tied to a 2022 materials probe, Afshar’s removal highlights deeper turbulence at Tesla, including the recent resignation of its robotics head and growing market pressure amid lagging Cybertruck sales.
