In a dramatic escalation of Middle East tensions, Iran has pledged to retaliate following US airstrikes on its nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The strikes, ordered by President Donald Trump, were described as “very successful,” with all US aircraft reportedly exiting Iranian airspace safely.
Iran’s Foreign Minister condemned the attacks as “unforgivable,” asserting Tehran’s right to self-defense. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed continued punishment against Israel, which has also been engaged in strikes against Iran since June 132.
President Trump, meanwhile, warned of “far greater” retaliation if Iran responds militarily, and suggested regime change could be on the table if Tehran fails to “make Iran great again”. The UN nuclear watchdog reported no off-site radiation spikes following the bombings.
