U.S. forces carried out fresh airstrikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island and Goruk, targeting suspected military installations. The Pentagon described the strikes as retaliation for recent Iranian naval harassment in the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran condemned the attacks, vowing a “painful response” and accusing Washington of escalating the conflict.
Meanwhile, Kuwait confirmed multiple missile and drone strikes on its territory, hitting oil infrastructure and logistics hubs. Authorities stated that air defenses intercepted several projectiles, but damage was reported at key facilities. The attacks are believed to be linked to Iran-backed militias, raising fears that Gulf states are increasingly being drawn into the confrontation.
The dual developments highlight the widening scope of the U.S.–Iran clash: direct strikes on Iranian soil coupled with spillover attacks on regional allies. Analysts warn that the combination of military escalation and energy infrastructure vulnerability could destabilize Gulf security and global oil markets.
